Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew is delighted to be fully in charge of his side's transfer dealing after having control restricted at previous club Newcastle United.
Pardew has said that the faith that the Palace board have shown him justifies his exit from Newcastle last season.
Pardew said: "This is the first time, and one of the reasons I came to this football club, I have full control with the chairman over transfers. I'm really pleased with the business we've done."
"The thing about a football manager is he has a philosophy and a way of playing. At Newcastle, at times, it was difficult for me to implement the transfers into my agenda because the agenda was different."
"I've been pretty frustrated in the last two or three years in the transfer window, so I'm pretty pleased this year."
Pardew has signed Yohan Cabaye from Paris Saint-Germain for a club record £10million as well as adding Connor Wickham from Sunderland for £9m, Alex McCarthy from QPR for £3.5m and Patrick Bamford on loan from from Chelsea.
