Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew is ready to give Zeki Fryers his chance.
The 24-year-old, an academy product at Manchester United, joined Palace for a fee of around £3.25m in 2014 after struggling to make a breakthrough at Tottenham.
"He's someone I've taken under my wing to get back up to the level we're playing at," Pardew said.
"He lost his way before my arrival. Now the focus is really on him and he needs to deliver. He's got great talent. He needs to apply that consistently. He's got a great opportunity. That's how football works. A door closes on Pape (Souare), a door opens for Zeki."
