Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew has played down talk of signing Chelsea legend Frank Lampard.

Pardew was pictured having dinner with Frank Lampard during his time in America.

However, he said they did not discuss the possibility of the 38-year-old joining Palace. Lampard is leaving MLS side New York City.

Pardew said: “It sounds like he is looking for another avenue now. We did not discuss that being here."
