Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew is delighted by the impact of Andros Townsend.
Pardew has been delighted with the way the 24-year-old has settled in at Selhurst Park and has told the fans they can expect goals and plenty of assists – especially if one or two new strikers arrive.
"I think it was probably the right time for Andros to move from Tottenham, because we thought about it a little bit, that it was not what we could do at the time," he told the Croydon Advertiser.
"His application on the training ground here has been exemplary. But I think anyone who knows Andros and that has worked with him will know that professionalism of him is really top drawer.
"He is definitely a 10/10 when it comes to preparing for games and also the preparation he has off the pitch, it's very good.
"Our fans got a little taste last week that there's more to come from him, particularly if the goal opens up to him he's as good a wide player at hitting the target with power that I have worked with.
"That is going to contribute to goals, and of course he's a great crosser of the ball and therefore that bodes well if we bring in new players."
