Crystal Palace boss Hodgson: We've been hurt by Loftus-Cheek and Cabaye exits

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson admits they're already weaker than last season.

Hodgson admits that signing players will not be easy for Palace this summer, adding that the Eagles must have a modest approach to the new campaign.

"We haven't been able to strengthen as much as we would have liked, that's unfortunate, and the finances are such that we haven't really got a lot of money to spend on players, so that will make it a bit difficult," Hodgson said.

"And especially as we have lost two real quality players from our squad last year; [Ruben] Loftus-Cheek and Yohan Cabaye - players of real good Premier League quality.

"I think that will weaken us to some extent, there's no question of that, and the chairman has made it clear to me that certainly this next season it is all about survival again, there is no question of that."
