Crystal Palace boss Hodgson says Zaha on his way back

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson says Wilfried Zaha is on the way back from injury.

After their Carabao Cup win over Huddersfield Town, Hodgson provided an update on his recovery and revealed when he could be back in action.

"Wilf [Zaha] is progressing well and is in training every day and doing the work," he said after Palace's 1-0 win against Huddersfield Town last night (Tuesday).

"The sports science medical people are hoping by the time the international break comes around he will be fit to join in training and have a week's training, and then we will see if he is fit enough to play against Chelsea when the break is over.

"That is our hope and that is the goal we are working towards, but with injured players we have to be careful and patient, and take advice from the medical people and Wilf himself, because he is a good player and we want him on the field."
