Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson has no doubts about the quality of Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
The on-loan Chelsea midfielder was outstanding for England in last night's draw with Germany.
“I am delighted for him," said Hodgson before the game.
“It will be wonderful and it is a good achievement for him. It goes to show that it is not only us who recognise he has got potential and a great talent – it shows Gareth Southgate and Steve Holland believe in it too.
“It is an ideal opportunity for him. I don't think he will be fazed by it, he is a confident player and a calm and confident man, who knows what he can do.
“As far as we are concerned, that is a win-win situation and it would have been good even if others hadn't withdrawn and he found himself on the bench, to be in the squad playing with the players and testing himself out against the best players we have in this country, that would have been good.
“But to get the chance to play, make your debut and put the shirt on is fantastic."
