Crystal Palace boss Hodgson pleased with win over Toulouse

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson was pleased with their 4-1 win over Toulouse.

Hodgson was pleased with the way they came back in the game and ran out emphatic winners.

"It was nice to be back here and the pitch is very good and a big crowd for a pre-season friendly particularly with how hot the weather was this afternoon.

"We didn't start the game well but midway through the first half, especially after we scored the goal, we started to play well and in the end it turned out to be a comfortable victory.

"We are not kidding ourselves though and know that there are much tougher tests to come but it's always nice to have a pre-season where you have won the games rather than lost them."

The manager has not only been pleased with the amount of goals scored but the number of players getting themselves on the scoresheet during a successful pre-season.

"As yet we haven't played a team that has put us under serious pressure so we have had lots of goal chances in our play but they have been a fair reflection on the number of chances created. Its not as though we have taken every chance we have created, for our four goals we scored today it could have been ten and that was also the case against Reading last week.

"It's nice to see the forwards on the scoresheet, Sørloth, Benteke and of course Wilf so all the players who we hope will be getting the goals have done so I am happy about that."
