Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson has revealed Norway coach Lars Lagerback had a big influence on Alexander Sorloth's arrival.
Palace swooped for the striker from FC Midtjylland on deadline day.
"He was incredibly positive in every way. Yesterday I also received a text by Per-Mathias Högmo who congratulated us. We have seen Alexander a lot and knew what he had been doing, but it was nice to talk with Lasse to support us saying that he is a player who will do well in the Premier League," Hodgson told NRK.
"Normally when you ask people about a player they answer: 'Yes, yes, but now it's the Premier League we're talking about ... ". But Lagerbäck said nothing like that. He said that Sörloth will be a big success in the Premier League, it suits me."
