Frank de Boer has revealed that he has spoke with his former Ajax boss Louis van Gaal about managing in the Premier League.
The Dutchman took over as manager of Crystal Palace on Monday, signing a three-year deal with the Selhurst Park outfit.
And de Boer admits he has spoke with the former Manchester United manager about how to survive in England's top flight.
"I spoke with Van Gaal a few months ago, just an informal talk about the experience of being a Premier League coach, what you have to think of," said de Boer.
"Van Gaal is always very good to me and he was first one to congratulate me on this new job.
"He's really the only one I talked to. It's between us, but he gave some good tips."
