Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew won't panic after West Ham defeat

Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew won't panic after defeat to West Ham.

Pardew lamented his side's slow start and thinks it is the reason the Eagles came away empty-handed.

He told BT Sport: "Obviously I'm angry and frustrated with the result first and foremost.

"The bottom line is you have to be up to the task - you can't wait for it to happen in any sport, you have to make it happen and we didn't do that in that period and although we spoke about the start, its start that cost us today.

"For a derby, for the first 20 minutes they were more aggressive than us, they were faster and brighter to the ball - that's something we can't do against anyone.

"They got a stark reminder at half-time and if we had got the goal by the way, the penalty, I think this is a game we win."
