Crystal Palace block Pardew from bidding for QPR striker Austin

Crystal Palace have told manager Alan Pardew to drop his bid for QPR striker Charlie Austin.

The Mirror says Eagles boss Pardew wants QPR striker Austin and is prepared to scrap it out with Liverpool, Newcastle and West Ham for his signature.

Rangers have slapped a £15m price-tag on their star man.

However, the Selhurst Park club's money-men believe that valuation is too high, leaving Pardew facing frustration in his attempts to bring Austin south of the river.
