Crystal Palace are tracking Djurgardens midfielder Simon Tibbling.
His Swedish club are prepared to sell in January and has kicked off talks with FC Groningen.
Palace and CSKA Moscow have also been following Tibbling for much of this year.
Tibbling, 20, is a defensive midfielder and currently a Sweden U21 international. His contract with DIF runs to 2016.
Groningen are keen to close negotiations as they know if it came to an auction, they'd struggle to match the spending power of Palace and CSKA.
