Crystal Palace and Newcastle United are battling it out to sign Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun, according to reports from the Croydon Advertiser.

Having lost their first three matches of the season, Palace desperately need to strengthen their squad before the transfer deadline and recently, Tosun has been linked with the Eagles.

However, even Newcastle United are said to be keen on signing Tosun on deadline day and it will be interesting to see where the striker, who scored 24 goals last season, ends up.
