Cruzeiro insist they can't afford Man City's Santa Cruz

Cruzeiro president Gilvan de Pinho Tavares feels a deal for Manchester City striker Roque Santa Cruz is a non-starter.

Santa Cruz is currently playing on-loan at Real Betis.

Cruzeiro are said to be offering City Leo Bonatini in part-exchange, but Tavares says: "He's a good player but is in Europe and has a huge, huge salary. The representative of Santa Cruz is the one that has released this news, but there is nothing from our end."
