Julio Cruz says Inter Milan proved last night they're stronger than Roma after winning 4-1 in the capital.

"I think we are stronger than Roma. Last season we won a deserved Scudetto, now we are at the start and know there is a long way to go, but also that we are a great team," Cruz, who netted in the victory, said.

"Up until now Roma have played some beautiful football, but in this sport what really counts is the result.

"I am very happy, because I really wanted to play this game. The Coach let me in for the second half, I was able to score and must say the team put in an excellent performance."
