Cruz Azul sign trio from MLS clubs

Mexican club Cruz Azul has signed three players from MLS clubs ahead of the 2014 Clausura season.

Rafael Baca joins from San Jose Earthquakes, Jose Villarreal has arrived from LA Galaxy and Michael Farfan lands at the Mexico City club from Philadelphia Union.

According to Cruz's official website, all three players have undergone medicals and signed contracts for the new campaign with Villarreal's believed to be a loan.

24-year old Mexican midfielder Baca made 31 MLS appearances for the Quakes in 2013, 25-year old midfielder/full-back Farfan appeared 29 times for the Union for a total of 85 outings for the club while 20-year old attacker Villarreal played 23 times for the Galaxy, scoring twice.
