Johan Cruyff has praised Pep Guardiola for the work he is doing with Barcelona this season. After Barca's 6-0 thrashing of Real Valladolid, Cruyff said: "He is doing very well, step by step, doing things the way he thinks they should do. He is attentive to every detail and always tries to get the most out of each player.

"I'm very lucky to have coached people like Guardiola, (Frank) Rijkaard and (Michael) Laudrup. They are all having their teams play good football.

"All of them, when they have become coaches, try so that people can enjoy the game, and that's an added value. This is not just about winning a game, it is something else. And that is what gives me most pride."
