Cruyff again questions wisdom of Barcelona bringing Neymar, Messi together

Barcelona legend Johan Cruyff has again questioned whether Neymar and Lionel Messi can successfully play together in the same team. Cruyff feels having both in the same starting XI could prove too much of a luxury.

"At Barcelona, the idea is to have the ball. But when the opponent has the ball, you've got to get it back. And they are not ball winners.

"We must see how these two geniuses combine, but first we must see how the pair of them fit with the rest of the team.

"Two captains in a ship often bring problems.

"If the board makes a decision, it must be respected. Nor have I said Messi must be sold tomorrow or not to bring Neymar. I'm just offering the public an idea, an observation.

"I might have waited a few more years before bringing them together. When Messi is older and see how he works, see if he was lucky with injuries and also see if Neymar has developed better.

"At 21 you can have much potential as a player, but you have not fully developed."
