Peter Crouch praised Tottenham teammate Rafael van der Vaart's delivery for his winner at Blackburn Rovers.
The pair have combined to great effect for much of this season.
"I was really pleased with the goal, that was perfect so early in the game," Crouch told the Spurs website.
"You know Rafa's got the quality to drop the ball on a sixpence and when the ball is delivered like that, I'm always confident that I'll get above the defender and score.
"I was delighted to see it fly in. From then on we had to defend well, Gomes has come into play and I thought we showed another side to our game.
"We limited them to not too many chances, Gomes made some key saves and as a whole, we defended magnificently."
