Peter Crouch knows Tottenham have a massive mental block to overcome to qualify for the Champions League.

Spurs go to Manchester City tomorrow in a virtual Champions League playoff.

Crouch, who played in the Champions League with Liverpool, said: "Perhaps the hardest part is getting over the line because no-one here has done it before. The top four have been the top four for so long and, for me, the achievement of breaking in would be fantastic.

"We've had a great season regardless, but having come this far it would be a great disappointment if we don't make it.

"It is where every footballer wants to be, the night games, the great atmospheres. When the music starts, the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. To get some of the big European games at the Lane would be just magic."
