"It's great to be involved again because every player wants to start games, particularly when you're at a club as great as this one," he told liverpoolfc.tv.
"It has been difficult for me, I'm not going to lie about that. I want to play in games and when that doesn't happen you can start to wonder if it ever will.
"But I was given my chance against Arsenal last week and then I was kept in the team for the European game and I'd like to think I've showed what I can do.
"But now I have to look to keep my place in the side, which I know will be difficult, because it's no point me waiting for my chance and then not taking it."
