Tottenham striker Peter Crouch says their win over Birmingham City is proof of their newly discovered steel.
"You can play great football like we did at Hull, a fantastic performance, but sometimes you have to dig in and get a result and that's what we did on this occasion," Crouch told the club's website.
"Teams realise we've got a lot of quality and they will perhaps sit back with one up front and try to nick a goal on the break. We got to expect that and overcome that and as we proved against Birmingham, if we keep going, we can get the results.
"It would have been nice to score earlier and perhaps the game would have been easier but sometimes it's not to be.
"You have to look at the at the teams who win titles, Manchester United, Chelsea - they play fantastic football but sometimes they have to dig in and win 1-0, even at home, and that's what we did against Birmingham."
