Colorado Rapids have confirmed that they have acquired Sam Cronin from San Jose Earthquakes.
The Rapids have picked up the 28-year old midfielder in exchange for allocation money following a four-and-a-half-year career with the Quakes.
The acquisition comes at a good time for the Rapids who earlier on Monday lost Jose Mari to Spanish club Levante.
During his career in San Jose, Cronin scored five goals and provided 12 assists in 140 MLS appearances and will join Marcelo Sarvas at Dick's Sporting Goods Park after the Brazilian was lured from MLS Cup winners LA Galaxy.
