Crocked Liverpool midfielder Can sets sights on Euro2016

Emre Can believes he can prove his fitness prior to this summer's European Championships.

The Liverpool midfielder has been ruled out for at least four weeks after sustaining ruptured ankle ligaments in Thursday's Europa League win over Borussia Dortmund, placing his hopes of making the Germany team for Euro2016 in doubt.

However, the 22-year-old is confident he will recover in time to force his way into Joachim Low's squad for the UEFA tournament in France.

"I am a fighter and won't let anything get me down," he told SID.

"I will give everything to try and be fit in time for the Euros and I am optimistic about achieving my goal."
