Crocked Campbell: QPR intent on avoiding relegation

Injured QPR striker DJ Campbell says the club is intent on staying in the Premier League this season and says nobody is getting too far ahead of themselves.

The R's moved to 10th on the table thanks to yesterday's historic 1-0 home win over Chelsea but Campbell, who is sidelined with a foot injury, says that there is a lid firmly placed on things at Loftus Road.

"We aren't getting carried away and our main goal is to remain in this division for another year and try to emulate a Stoke or a Wolves," Campbell told skysports.com.

"They've both been in this league for a good few years now and they've established themselves as a Premier League club.

"That is where we want to be in a few years too, but once we've reached a position that is safe from relegation then we can start to think about what else we can achieve this season.

"We all want to be here next season and the chairman and gaffer wants us to be here for many years to come, so hopefully we can do just that."
