Croatia coach Zlatko Dalic has slammed Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo.

Dalic is furious with the way Ronaldo snubbed his former Real Madrid teammate Luka Modric being named UEFA's The Best for last season.

Ronaldo skipped the ceremony amid claims he was angered Modric gained the award of him.

"Ronaldo is an egoist and I would never want him on my team!" said Dalic to Sportske Novosti.

"(Ronaldo) is one of those players who thinks: 'As long as I score a goal, it does not matter if we lose the game'."

On Modric, Dalic also stated: "He's a brilliant person, always willing to help others.

"He was not changed by fame or by Real Madrid, nor by having won the Champions League, nor by the silver in the World Cup ..."
