Cristian Brocchi is leaving AC Milan due to a lack of support from inside the club, it has been revealed.
The interim coach is stepping down this week, with former Empoli boss Marco Giampaolo due to be named his replacement.
Corriere della Sera says Brocchi has chosen to walk away after feeling he did not have the support of GM Adriano Galliani.
Giampaolo is Galliani's favoured candidate and Brocchi has felt undermined.
It's also been revealed Brocchi told president Silvio Berlusconi that the atmosphere at Milanello isn't conducive to positive work and he cannot see how he can succeed in the current management structure.
