Cricket legend Sourav Ganguly to join Liverpool legend Barnes at PLS Haldia franchise
Former India cricket captain Sourav Ganguly could have a role in John Barnes' PLS Haldia franchise.
Ganguly has close ties to Greymind Communications, the new owners of the Haldia club.
On Premier League Soccer, Chatterjee added: "PLS has got tremendous potential and I believe it's a great concept to boost the popularity of the sport in the country. The television ratings for football also indicate that viewership has also grown manifold. The way PLS has been planned, it gives a perfect opportunity for our players to rub shoulders with some of the greats.""Sourav and I are very good friends and share a great rapport. But that doesn't mean that he will be associated with the team. Since he is passionate about the game, we would love him to be associated with the team. I have not spoken to him about it yet," GC director Anilava Chatterjee told Mail Today.
