Crewe Alexandra hope to secure compensation from Stoke City for teenage pair Matt Lund and Ben Marshall.

Club spokesman Rob Wilson said: "With both players under the age of 24 we are entitled to compensation due to training and development costs.

"If an agreement cannot be met between the two clubs, the fees for the two players will be set by the tribunal scheme."

The Crewe Chronicle says Stoke are expected to offer around £100,000 for the pair, with add-ons installed in to the agreement.
