Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis hopes to bring back Brad Inman and Chuks Aneke next season.

Arsenal midfielder Aneke and Newcastle United attacker Inman impressed at Gresty Road last season.

"The situation is ongoing with Brad and Chuks," he told Crewe's official website.

"I spoke to them both before they went away and have spoken with their agents as well. I have made my feelings clear about them both; we would like to bring them here.

"They were both outstanding for us last season and made big impacts. I'm sure people will have taken notice about how well they did for us last season.

"Hopefully the fact that they know the club and enjoyed their time with us last season may give us a little advantage."
