Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis is chasing Manchester City striker Jordi Hiwula.
The Sentinel says Hiwula scored 12 goals in 21 matches for City's under 21s last season and a loan move to Gresty Road would help him further his career.
The 19-year-old striker played in the City side which reached the semi-finals of the Premier League under 21 knockout competition but is yet to appear for the first-team at the Etihad.
