Tottenham striker Lee Barnard refuses to give up on his White Hart Lane career after signing for Crewe on-loan last week.

"At Spurs they've got four good strikers. I broke in two years ago but last season was a write-off through injury," he said. "They've got such good quality it's hard to get a chance. So I just wanted to get out on loan and progress my career.

"I'm just pleased to be here now and I can't wait to play."
