Crewe Alexandra defender Adam Dugdale has told teammate Nick Powell to keep his cool over the frenzied transfer interest swirling around him.
Manchester United are the favourites to sign Powell, though Arsenal were linked with the teen in yesterday's press.
Dugdale told The Sentinel: "If you have Nick Powell in your team you've got a chance no matter who you're playing.
"He's better than this level, actually he's miles better than League Two.
"But it is for him to keep his feet on the floor and keep knuckling down. It's going to be tough wherever he goes and he's got a lot of potential to fulfil.
"He's probably the best talent I have ever seen from someone at that age. He can do pretty much anything he wants to do with a ball at his feet.
"He's only going one way - and that's up, but I can't stress enough how crucial it will be that he doesn't get carried away. He must keep improving."
