Crewe in Fulham talks for Etheridge, Mesca deals

Crewe Alexandra hope to re-sign Fulham goalkeeper Neil Etheridge on-loan.

The Sentinel says Etheridge is nearing full fitness after returning to parent club Fulham for treatment on a thigh strain and is expected tie up a deal to return to Gresty Road for the rest of the season.

Winger Mesca scored in his final appearance for Crewe, a 2-1 win over Carlisle, before returning to Fulham - but his short-term future is less straightforward.

Steve Davis will only re-sign the 20-year-old if he can renegotiate the loan deal without unspecified clauses which were demanded by Fulham first time around.
