Crewe Alexandra have no plans to sell superkid Nick Powell.

The rookie midfielder, 18, is a £2.5million target for Manchester United, Arsenal, Everton and Tottenham after notching 15 goals in 42 games.

But Alex No 2 Neil Baker told The Sun: "It will take a lot of doing, but Nick could be the best of the lot produced by this club. He is a special player.

"Nick is more than just a great individual player, he works hard for the team as well.

"He may be better than any of them, and we've had some exceptional young players over the years."
