Tottenham striker Lee Barnard is eager to join Crewe Alexandra on-loan.
The 23-year-old looked poised to join the Railwaymen but the move has been delayed as he recovers from a niggling hamstring injury.
"The lad has been in constant contact and wants to come here," said Alex football chief Dario Gradi.
