Crewe Alexandra chief Dario Gradi has no doubts Manchester United have snapped up a diamond in Nick Powell.

The arrival of Powell in a £4million deal from Crewe may be unheralded but his future impact could prove just as influential.

Crewe's director of football Gradi said: "Nick wins matches on his own. He doesn't rely on others to make goals for him. He picks the ball up, runs at people and finishes."
