Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis is delighted to be keeping hold of Manchester City midfielder George Evans.

Evans has extended his loan to the end of the season.

"I spoke to George a while a go about extending his loan, before the suspension and illness which meant he was out of the team for a couple of weeks and that set him back," Davis told The Sentinel.

"He's got a great attitude and I can't fault anything he's done since he's been here.

"He's a young lad who absolutely thrives on playing football. He's eager to impress and wants the most of the opportunity to show he's going to be a good player."
