Richard Cresswell is chasing a run in the Stoke City first team after his contribution to their victory over West Brom.

Cresswell was a tenth minute substitute for the injured Dave Kitson and impressed in a rare 'start' for the Potters.

"My best wishes go to Dave," he told The Sentinel, "and hopefully it is not too serious. But personally, it was nice to get a game up front.

"I enjoyed every minute and hopefully I have done enough to show the gaffer I can do it at this level. I thought I put a good performance in - as did the rest of the lads and we deserved the win."
