Hernan Crespo has welcomed the appointment of Jose Mourinho as new Inter Milan coach.

"Even when I was at Chelsea I thought that Inter would be the right club for Mourinho," he told Romanews.eu. "The fact that I know him doesn't necessarily mean that I have an advantage. In a big side with so many champions there will always be competition and I'm not scared of that.

"There was space for everyone when he was at Chelsea. Mourinho handles things correctly and he will always explain the situation to you.

"Jose respects people and players and I will accept being on the bench or in the stands if that's where I'm put."
