Crespo lashes out at Inter Milan management

Inter Milan striker Hernan Crespo is furious over the way he has been treated by management this season.

He said: "I had expectations last year and was an important figure in my first season. The bitterness I have is based on the fact I didn't even get the chance to play badly, I just got dropped and that's all.

"Considering how well I had done before, I expected like everyone else to be given three or four games and if I didn't deliver then I would be understandably left out. I never even had that opportunity.

"Things changed this summer, Mourinho arrived and I already knew him. There were concrete offers that I turned down, told by the directors that I would be in a different situation. Instead, it got worse.

"I believe Mourinho is different to other Coaches, as he has the ability to make you train in a new and entertaining way. He's also unique in the way he prepares for a match."

He added: "I am training hard to ensure there is no other excuse for dropping me. Mourinho will be the one to give me hope, or not. He knows he can count on me.

"Now we will see what the club and the Coach decides, whether it is time to pack my bags or not. Clearly I need to play football and feel part of a team, but I have not lost all hope of achieving that with Inter."
