Hull City are ready to break the bank for Blackburn Rovers striker Jordan Rhodes.
The Mirror says Tigers boss Steve Bruce refused to take no for an answer on Rhodes after Rovers supremo Anuradha Desai vetoed the transfer at the weekend.
The Tigers chief will now increase the cash element of the bid to £12million and throw his son Alex - rated at around £500,000 - into the deal.
Bruce is desperate for prolific Rhodes as he runs out of options.
And there are signs that the Blackburn hierarchy are split on the deal.
