Sunderland striker Craig Lynch was delighted to be on the mark in the U21's 2-2 draw with Newcastle United.
The forward, who has returned from a loan spell at Hartlepool, struck late at the Stadium of Light as he curled a fine shot into the corner of Jak Alnwick's goal to secure a 2-2 draw.
"It's about time," he told safc.com. "I should really try to be more selfish and when I got within shooting distance I thought I'd have a go at the last minute.
"Fortunately it went in and it was a good finish in the end so I was happy with it."
