Jody Craddock is hoping he can win another contract to play at least one more year with Wolves.
The 35-year old centre-half feels strong enough to play on after returning to the first team from injury late in the season and is eyeing a ninth season with the Molineux club.
"I feel fit enough, strong enough and good enough to carry on and my movement is the best it's been for years," he told Express and Star.
"So hopefully I'll get a deal. I don't want to say too much in case I don't get one and I'm just enjoying this moment for what it is.
"But I want to carry on playing and I'm keeping my fingers crossed and my ear to the phone, and, hopefully, people will see me here next season.
"I feel better than I have done for two or three years, so I do feel confident. The hip is good - fantastic in fact. I have no problems whatsoever with it.
"I might not have the pace I had at 21, but I have the experience and I don't feel out of place; I feel comfortable, which is nice."
