Craddock disputes Wolves image as over aggressive

Wolves defender Jody Craddock has defended the club over criticism about their style of play. Fulham midfielder Danny Murphy controversially claimed last month that some managers, including McCarthy, send their players out 'so pumped up there is inevitably going to be problems'.

Craddock has rejected the claims that Wolves are a dirty side and insists there no malicious element in their approach.

"The criticism of our approach was hard to accept," Craddock told skysports.com at an event promoting EA SPORTS FIFA 11 Ultimate Team.

"We played every game in the Championship in a tough and battling way and that is how we have always played.

"There is not one vicious player in our squad.

"Unfortunately some things have happened but no one sets out to injure another player.

"No one wants to get sent off as it means you miss games and it is hard to get back into the team them.

"It also means a fine from the club and no one wants that.

"We play to win games and football is an intense sport."
