Coyle warns Bolton players not to fall for Villa drop-ball again

Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle will warn his players not to be so naive in future after defeat to Aston Villa.

Bolton thought Aston Villa would give them back possession after ref Mike Jones halted play for Emile Heskey's head injury.

But Stiliyan Petrov won the ball and sent Gabby Agbonlahor clear. The Villa striker shot wide but feelings were still running high at the final whistle when Bolton's Jack Wilshere and Stewart Downing squared up.

Coyle admitted "We have to learn from that. If it is going to be a drop ball we have got to make sure that we are ready with a tackle.

"It's very rare these days for that to happen but we have got to be aware."
