Coyle wants to model Bolton on Everton

Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle has described Everton playmaker Mikel Arteta as "world class".

After defeat at Goodison Park, Coyle declared he wanted to model his Bolton team on David Moyes' Everton.

"First and foremost Bolton want to stay in the Premier League and we will use the strengths we have to do that, but we want to progress and show we can play as well," Coyle said.

"What Davie Moyes has done at Everton is the blueprint for that. With the money the top clubs have, it's hard to take them on playing football and survive, never mind compete, but gradually he has done that.

"At the start he didn't have much money and he had to juggle some balls, but look at the quality he has gradually introduced.

"Arteta is world class and they have real quality players to call on, so I think you'll find what he's done is a role model a hell of a lot of clubs will look at."
