Coyle realistic about keeping Chelsea's Sturridge at Bolton

Bolton boss Owen Coyle is remaining realistic about the prospect of having Daniel Sturridge back at the club next season.

The 21-year old has been in startling form since joining the Trotters on loan from Chelsea, scoring seven goals in nine appearances.

Coyle says it is a no-brainer that the club wants to hold onto the England U21 international but knows that at the end of the day, it is Chelsea's call.

"It's not rocket science to know that we would love to have Daniel here but for that to come to fruition then a number of things need to happen," he said.

"Obviously Chelsea would need to give their blessing and Daniel would need to want to come back and play the part that he has to this point. That will be for the summer.

"I thank Chelsea for allowing us to have Daniel and it was always going to be a win-win situation."
