COYLE OUT: Blackburn supporters want new manager sacked immediately!

Blackburn Rovers fans want Owen Coyle sacked as manager, just hours after he was appointed.

The Scotsman was confirmed as Blackburn's new boss on Thursday afternoon but already there are calls for his head.

Rovers supporters have labelled club owners Venky's 'a disgrace' for appointing Coyle who has a history with their fierce East Lancashire rivals Burnley.

One fan even created an online petition demanding the removal of the 49-year-old.

However, the petition states that Coyle's past association with the Clarets has nothing to do with their dissatisfaction.

"Let us state 100% that Mr Coyle being an ex-Burnley manger has nothing to do with the fans disgust at his appointment," it reads.

"We believe his dismal managerial record gives him no right to be considered for the post.

"Please remove him from his position as soon as possible to prevent further damage to this historic club."

The former Bolton and Wigan Athletic boss recently left his post as head coach of MLS franchise Houston Dynamo to return to the UK.
